Ever since the events of Meteno, Felix had been training nonstop. MATIAS SILPH , John Sullivan -- there was no denying the strength of the league, but being forced to face that said strength did wonders to solidify an urge to supersede that gap of skill.

"Dragon claw," He barked. Lurching forward, the garchomp flung his dark scaled body toward an unsuspecting mightyena. The sound of tearing flesh and snapping bone followed.

At the same time, a set of footsteps drew Felix's attention away from the gruesome sight.

there are very few nerves to strike, to be fair.[break][break]

a wigglytuff SWALLOWS air nearby, and the sucking sound it makes is more than enough to get ledyba to MACH PUNCH it. a pokeball follows after that to make sure it's gone.[break][break]

"meteno did not go as planned but that seems to be the common theme."

For Rocket, at least. For Felix, everything went exactly as he expected, with him staying alive and August still at home, sleeping in their old Petalburg apartment, which came out of everything untouched by either side.

But that wasn't anything he'd relay to the underboss.

"It went better than I would suspect with a leak from our side, though."

after the wigglytuff comes a druddigon that was likely planning to attack it in the first place. with no one else to take its anger out on, it turns to the ledyba and charges over with its DRAGON RAGE.[break][break]

a quick one-two MACH PUNCH knocks the dragon back for SILVER WIND to sweep it up into the air where a pokeball finds it.[break][break]

Frankly, data breaches weren't his specialty. Felix was known for his brute force, not his ability to root out a problem within their system. But alas, this breach in particular wasn't your normal nameless leak. There was a face steamed, pressed, and tied to it.

"I'm going to find him."

Then drag him back to base and kill him. Before any other grunt could get the courage to do the same.

In the corner of his peripheral vision, Felix could make out the blur of his garchomp's slick back rush up to a unsuspecting Lairon. With one swift DRAGON CLAW the Lairon weeps, becoming vulnerable to Felix's swift pokeball.

the sight of a fishie immediately pulls him away, forcing him to quickly finish his thought.[break][break]

"word is he's being promoted to rustboro's gym leader."[break][break]

he takes a step away to approach the fishie, bending to a knee once close enough. a berry is offered, sweet and crunchy in nature, and he watches the fishie swim close, hesitant at first, but ultimately accepting the berry.[break][break]

A gym leader.

The title evoked a little less than an enthused look from the dull man. With a higher title came higher exposure -- something that'd either play into their favor, or end horribly for him.

"Have you spoken to him before."

A simple question beckoning a simple answer. For someone like THEO BECKETT , who knew almost every pair of legs throughout the organization, it almost felt natural to lightly probe. To see what he knew, and what he didn't.

Not too far our, Felix's garchomp continued to ensue havoc on the surrounding pokemon population. This time through tearing into an innocent stonejourn, who had been standing near the treeline. The rough sound of crumbling rock would come to interrupt their conversation in short intervals the further into the conversation they went. It wouldn't stop until another toss of Felix's poke ball.

lunatone's typing makes the MACH PUNCH less effective than it would've been. but it doesn't matter in the end as it can only withstand so many of them before eventually stilling into a pokeball.
